I thought it would be fair to give you the choice to read my Valentine's Day post, and not make a facebook post on it. So thanks for choosing to listen, my people.
This was my first Valentine's day with a real Valentine, and I didn't want to make a big huge deal about the holiday, but a mediocre deal of it. It's nice to have an excuse to dress up and go out and be with someone you love. So we got up early yesterday morning and went to Burg Hohenzollern which is an absolutely stunning castle which was only about 20 min from where we live. We had to haul ass up the berg which was so bad because even though it was negative 1,000 degrees Kelvin, I was sweating when I reached the top of the mountain--all while Cornelius was running ahead, coming back down to me, then running again. He has the energy of a 3 year old kid who asks you to play tag with them and ends up having more stamina than you ever had between your 17th birthday to your 22nd combined. It really was so beautiful though. The views were incredible of forests and mountains, and it was also Americana Center there. I heard my accent every 5 seconds. The castle itself was freezing which made me feel bad for the people who lived there, but I still was imagining myself living there (in my mind it was Westeros).
After everyone cut us while we were waiting on the bus, we made it back to Tübingen and got ready for dinner. I had amazing peacock themed makeup, and we went out for Italian. Dinner was the kind of good that you have to use the table decorations to cover the food stains you made on the table cloth. Then we had some shots and had some good clean fun at home. I wrapped up the evening looking at pics of my cat that my sister sent me. A GREAT DAY.
All in all, I'm really happy in Tübingen. I can do everything on my own, get into the city, get groceries and all that. I'm trying not to be so shy since I don't speak German, but the city really is beautiful, the food is good, and the beer is cheaper than water. So you can bet your ass that I've had plenty. And an unhealthy amount of gummies. BUT THEY ARE MADE WITH REAL FRUIT JUICE SO DON'T JUDGE. But I miss my family so much. Amelia keeps sending me these great videos of Connor, and they make me want to hardcore nuzzle him. I miss my sisters and my mom, and driving a car. I know as soon as I leave I'll be like "UUUUUH I MISS EUROPE AND MY MANLY LOVER", but...my familyyyyy.
